Once upon a time there was a Sigma member named Armois Delgato and I swear he was a fucking banshee. His every utterance was aural torture. Sadly, he could not be persuaded to shut the fuck up. He drove everyone off the squad Teamspeak channel and alas, it has never been used since. Such are the humble beginning of the Silent Squad.

Since the arrival of Kiko Goatbiter, and his incessant talking, Sigma Squad has branched out into more interesting gimmicks, among them homegrown pornography and the occasional revolt against the directorate. Most recently, several Sigmas on Chloridane's Slosh op went a bit fuckgoons and killed the FC (dabigredboat) of the current fleet op.

Sigma Squadron defies one line descriptions like Delta (space jews), ANZAC (Aussies), Theta (Greedy Jews), Epsilon (FYAD), Rho(FYAD...notice a trend here?). Sigmas members have never attracted attention to themselves the way other squads do, which could lead some to believe there are fewer of them or they have less to offer. This could not be further from the truth. We run several modest programs that help new bees and veterans alike. In general, expect Sigma to be a good fit for the every goon, who can't abide by the lack of content in other squads but finds Deltas and the like to be a little too Serious Business.

Sigma is also one of the few squads that is not an embarrassment to Goonfleet and is helpful more than it is a pain in the ass; prime example being Epsilon.

It is rumored that one night a handful of sigma members snuck onto the teamspeak server and performed an exorcism to cast out the ghost of Armois Delgato, who had haunted the channel for well over a year. Regardless of what really happened, the channel appears free of bad spirits and is now used frequently.

Dungarmatic has evolved. As of January 2010, Dungarmatic was integrated with Injurymatic, a fountain of emergency room reports. This has proved one thing. As a good Sigma newbee it is of the utmost importance that one puts things into/onto one's penis. It is critical to Delve defence.

Empire fuckery corp. GULP is for experimentation with aspects of Eve that have nothing to do with 0.0 space and have everything to do with Empire. Before the war with AAA broke out, GULP was used as a vacation spot for vets looking for something different. Currently it is used by a handful of people interested in suicide ganking.

Sigma has long had a tradition of handing out free cruisers and destroyers to newbees who can't afford them. This program is on hold while we establish ourselves in Delve, but just ask any Sigma mentor for ISK, modules, or hulls and most will be happy to accommodate you.

Long ago, there was a ruler of Sigma named Krontos. Part of his doctrine was instructing young minds on the importance of implants. To keep with the spirit of his teachings, free +1 implants and some random skill hardwirings are available in 0-H for rookie pilots.

1. terminal mehmet - became original squad leader when squad was formed in May 2006. Stayed squad leader for 2 elections, then retired to take care of IRL stuff.

2. Alexis Zyl - became squad leader in after the 8/8/06 election. Initialized the mining program and got the contracts sorted out. Disappeared on 9/8/06 due to a drug problem. But he's ok now and we love him because he gave us our stuff back and didn't die.

3. terminal mehmet - came back from retirement to pick up the pieces. set up the moon mining POS, led through the original BoB invasion, the move to RA space and the Scalding Pass campaign and set up the first research POS. Then burned the fuck out when we finally had elections again and hardly ever plays other than to be cranky in squad chat and bitch about being broke.

4. Krontos - became squad leader in March 2007 did a phenomenal job. Stepped down on Feb 7, 2008. Set up the 1PF ratting depot, the new and improved research station(s) in KZF, the cruiser and newbee implant programs. Also good at making fun of Theta because, seriously, fuck those guys.

5. Bluejacket San - Elected squad leader in Feb, 2008. Flies a rorqual that the squad bought him just in time for the alliance to sell the 7-k (Etherium Reach) region where we had all our crap and needed it. Squad leader to bitter vet in 1 month!

Bluejacket's Accomplishments to date

Tore down the 1PF tower when 7-K was sold.
Tore down the research tower in KZF because there was no 1PF tower providing the funding for it.
Helped organize the Esoteria jump bridge program with g0th and Chairman Mauzer.
- This program was dismantled due to sparse use, reliance on being funded by the moon mining program, and the availability of new drone space in Kalevala Expanse.
Implemented the moon mining program proposed by FourDrinkMinimum.
- While Bluejacket was on a leave of absence someone forgot to fuel the towers and they went offline. A roaming gang came by and popped 2B worth of moon material. A rescue team was assembled to retrieve the remaining POS mods and dismantle the program but a 2nd roaming gang took care of that shortly before the op started.
Was still on leave as g0th and proplus setup a new drone ratting operation in K95.
Setup a new research tower in VNG, a sov 3 system near AZN, using old KZF hardware and excess K95 tax for fuel. Despite the tower being there for 3 months and mentioned several times, almost nobody in Sigma knew it existed.
Tore down the K95 tower when Kalevala was sold/abandoned and boxed up over 700,000m3 of squad assets collecting dust in KZF & WNM. Luckily the new Interbee service was able to move it to the new squad headquarters in 77S before war broke out.
Setup the 77S Sigma Memorial Tower in honor of the VNG research tower, which died a horrible death to 40 Russian dreads.

6. Aritzia - Following the mysterious disappearance of Bluejacket San, Aritzia quietly seized control of Sigma Squad and SIGH through a bloodless coup. Though Bluejacket San later posted that he was unable to play Eve due to a painful Gout outbreak on his left foot, it has been widely speculated that BJS is being held against his will (or maybe not) in Aritzia's basement as a bondage gimp.

On 8/16/2007, ventacon posted some porn of HIS GIRLFRIEND and HER GIRLFRIEND doing things. It was a good thread and we all enjoyed it because it had boobs and cunts. Also led to hilarious offshoots.

RedlegSA was immortalized in this legendary thread where he made signatures for most of Sigma Squad. The signatures were a smashing success, largely because they captured the playful retardation that defines Sigma Squad. A full directory of Sigma Squad's signatures can be seen here.

[edit] M-R Angel Ratting Tower

FleetBee ran a POS in M-R at planet 2 moon 1 to help ratters have a safespot and ammo/loot drop area. The POS was up only on the whim of FleetBee, who amazingly never completely forget to fuel it or went fuck goons with the POS guns.

This was Sigma's longest lived control tower and the only reason it has lasted so long is because Bluejacket refused to touch it.

[edit] The GoonTech / Sigma PDE-U3 Tower a.k.a. Webb Mordock Drops Sov

This tower was quite possibly Sigma's shortest lived control tower. The tower, which was set up and to be maintained by Webb Mordock, lasted a whole ten days before running out of fuel. In typical Sigma fashion, when Webb then tried to refuel it, he got ganked by a hostile Zealot and Ishtar and lost both his haulers. With no way to refuel the tower, he said fuck it and let it go offline, as many Sigmas have done before.

While this wouldn't be notable on its own, this medium control tower was the only tower in system set up to claim sov. So, when it went offline, sov dropped entirely. This was the first (only?) time during the Delve Campaign II that Goonswarm lost sov in Delve.

Webb then promptly sold the tower and the alt corp running it to some other poor soul, thereby returning Sigma to their rightful space hobo status. When asked for an interview, he responded "hahaha."
