The order to create the ship came as part of a unilateral initative issued by Navy Command in the wake of Emperor Kor-Azorâ€™s assassination. Sporting the latest in fighter command interfacing technology and possessing characteristically strong defenses, the Archon is a powerful aid in any engagement.

The Amarr carrier. It receives a bonus to its own armor resistances, and energy transfers/remote armor reps. Hands down it has the best tanking ability of its racial counterparts.
Only real downside is that it's useless when it comes to repairing control towers because it has no Shield Transfer bonus, meaning it's out of range of the control tower. But you can cap transfer to other carriers repairing or to battleships when they're seiging hostile control towers.
