  • The 77S8-E/AZN-D2 highway is broken in R2TJ-1 due to a bug. It will take a month to fix the highway.

2009

January

  • Parts of the Newperhighway are camped and sieged, restricting empire access.
  • A spy unticks sov claim on several towers in DG-8VJ; BoB moves in and threatens to break sov in DG-8VJ as well as constellation sov.
  • Pandemic Legion and Goonfleet kill a BoB titan piloted by Hurley in H-ADOC, their staging point in Curse, using sub-capital ships only.
  • R2TJ-1 nears sov 3; ROL spams towers in hopes of breaking sov.
  • Goonswarm begins deploying Dickstars
  • A massive GS and allied turnout secures sov in DG-8VJ.
  • R2TJ-1 reaches sov 3, bridges come online and the Swarm floods in to destroy the hostile towers and secure sov.

  • Feb 8th - Rhoswarm sweetheart Samhandwich's Wyvern mothership, named Sally, dies under THC-related circumstances.
  • There Is No BoB - Former BoB Director and newly minted Goon hero Haargoth Agamar turns. Following a suggestion proposed by The Mittani, a single act of awesome is executed - all of BoB's corps are expelled and the BoB alliance is disbanded. This is immediately followed by the creation of a new corporation called Band of Brothers, thereby preventing BoB from re-using the name. Various goods are also stolen, some of which are re-gifted to goons.
  • The former member corps of BoB form a new alliance, KenZoku so they they may begin claiming the first level of sovereignty in Delve. Without Sov III, all of Delve is for the taking.
  • Darius Johnson orders Goonswarm to drop everything and move to Delve to capitalize on the newly formed Kenzoku's loss of system sovereignty. Feythabolis is consolidated by AAA and ROL as a result of this coitus interruptus.
  • February 12: Shrike loses his fourth titan. As usual, it is an Avatar. Kenny loses multiple capital ships, including an estimated 400bil of assets in one day.
  • February 16: Kenny times about 42 POS's to come out of re-enforced starting about midnight US time but failed to consider that it would be President's Day in the US, and Family Day in some of Canada. Darius JOHNSON posts a thread in CAOD pointing out the folly of this choice.
    • A massacre follows; each POS is destroyed in minutes and about 40 towers are killed. Each faction control tower costs about 1.5B to lay out with modules and each of the Capital Ship Assembly Arrays cost about 1.8B at seeded price. This seven day period, already the single most expensive series of losses in the history of the game, continues to see Kenny's isk and logistics loss escalate.
    • During the POS massacre, a NC alliance composed mainly of ex-FIX is hot-dropped, losing their capital fleet as they tried to lay claim to an r64 moon.
  • The Eternal Gatecamp of PR- Commences - The PR- system is heavily bubbled and constantly camped for the next month, preventing Kenzoku from using their capital fleet or moving much of their assets.
  • NOL-M9 is taken by Goonswarm and allies.
  • Feb 27th, Zapawork Declares Tenerifis Thunderdome - Every station in the Tenerifis region is set to allow any non-hostiles to dock. The response is somewhat lackluster, though many of our enemies crow at the apparent loss of space of the regions that we have abandoned. [2]

  • The Eternal Gatecamp of PR- Ends - The camp is finally broken for a significant period of time, during European prime-time, by a combined Kenzoku and AAA fleet, allowing a large amount of assets to escape. The camp was effectively unbroken for about four weeks, which is largely unprecedented in EVE.
  • March 10th, Apocrypha Patch goes live.
  • March 25th, "We Control Your Name Now" - CCP reverts "BoB Reloaded" to "Kenzoku" following a reinvestigation. [3]
  • Delve Sovereignty Countdown - A list of sov breaking from this time period.

  • 5th - Kenny tries to be relevant, has offensive destroyed in 36 hours.
  • 7th - RKK has a corp meeting in which it is announced that they will be withdrawing to empire and concentrating on corp operations rather than alliance activities. Chump in chief of RKK, Dianabolic, also declares that RKK will not attempt to take and control territory until the Northern Coalition and Goons are on rockier terms. The recording is leaked by The Mittani. [6]
  • 14th - Random tower cleanup duty turns into a 49- jammer takedown with only three allied casualties. Four towers including both R64s are then sieged with no hostile interference.
  • 16th - All four reinforced towers in 49- are killed with little hostile resistance. SirMolle calls for KenZoKu to pull their assets out of 0.0 on CAOD.
  • 16th - 27 titans conga around the 49- station and chain-fire their doomsdays, killing a carrier owned by Viper Shizzle of Pandemic Legion
  • 19th - Razor Withdraws: Our allies RAZOR declare their offensive deployment to be victorious, and post an announcement on our forums. [7]
  • 20th - The first thunder dome goes horribly awry when Ex-FiX Pandemic Legion member Tom Honk uses a smart-bombing Apocalypse to kill and pod nearly two hundred frigates within a thirty second span. Six faction ships are among those killed.

July

  • Kenzoku Splits Up: Reikoku leaves for the Minmatar side of factional warfare (as of this writing they're already winning but this way RKK can take the credit. Black Nova Corporation joins the Caldari side in factional warfare for an even less challenging strategic situation. DICE leaves for the southeast to informally team up with Atlas. Finfleet has backed out of joining both AAA and Atlas. Evolution is in empire, still in the Kenzoku alliance.
  • 1st - Goonfleet Foreign Legion begins fighting Ethereal Dawn and Intrepid Crossing in the drone regions when they attempt to side with Atlas and Scorched Earth against Legion of Death. ED and IRC are failure cascading by the 5th.
  • ? - Somewhere in here Scorched Earth (edit: it was Aggressionperiod) has the most amazing alliance meeting ever in which their corporation is disbanded when one of their old-timers loses his temper. God, I need a link to this, it's amazing. Atlas resets them, signing their death warrant.
  • 17th - The re-invasion of Scalding Pass begins. JLO sov flips. Minor Threat resets Atlas as part of their confused diplomatic master plan.
  • 18th - Samhandwich and Rodent both [nearly lose their titans to a gang of fifteen battlecruisers http://www.goonfleet.com/showpost.php?p=3111651&postcount=5].
  • 20th - Zapawork cites frustration with wiping goon asses and appoints Karttoon as the new CEO.
  • TRI Moves into 319 in NPC Delve, launching annoying attacks on the surrounding systems in an attempt to get "good fights." Much is made of TRI's lack of desire to control space or be a successful alliance, as such things are conventionally determined.

August

September

  • 3rd - Karttoon kicks off his empire offensive with a big bang, nearly destroying New Eden Research without firing a shot. To quote, "Established in 2007, New Eden Research is the largest open empire BPO research alliance. They run a large number of POS’s littered with Labs and Advance labs for the rest of the alliance to use to conduct research. If you wish to conduct research on a BPO, you must join your corporation to the alliance, or join your character to one of the corporations in the alliance. They accept anyone."
  • 25th - Around here most of the corps from Minor Threat join Zenith Affinity, taking up residency in sunnysouthern Period Basis.
  • 28th - KIA closes its doors (yet again), and Period Basis begins to look more roomy for ZAF.

October

  • 18th - Goonswarm invades Systematic-Chaos in Stain and Esoteria. Having eaten their capital fleet alive, things do not look good for them, though it is early yet. [8]
  • Later That Month: IGNE lost a surprise titan that GS leaders didn't know we had, didn't know was going to be used, and would not have supported using in enemy prime-time. Eventually, when all the sys-k allies pour in, Goonswarm retreats.

November

  • 2nd - Molle's "Recruit Anybody That Is Breathing" plan backfires when he recruits Maverick Navy from out of Bobby Atlas' back pocket. Atlas Alliance resets IT Alliance for repeatedly poaching corps. It is speculated by this author that since neo-BoB has no income, cashing in on their name and reputation to recruit corps is the only way that they can increase the size of their capital fleet.
  • Late November: IT Alliance invades Fountain, taking a single station system (PNQY-Y) as part of Pandemic Legion's plan to get ~good fights~ and draw IT into committing their forces to a particular area.

December

  • 1st - Dominion 1.0 patch goes live. It is followed by a week of scrambling on the part of space-holding alliances to get their logistics set up under the new rules. Many freighter runs take place, and the amount of claimed systems is dramatically reduced. Cyno jammers and jump bridges become much more expensive, and high-end moons receive an intense nerf. CCP only seeds the modules needed to claim space, rather than the modules needed to contest space, in order to allow time for alliances to adjust. Other noteworthy patch changes include changing doomsdays away from an area of effect to devastating targeted attack, and fixing faction ships.
  • 8th - Territorial Claim Units are seeded, allowing systems to be contested.
  • 10th - Karttoon posts a "get your ass to Fountain" thread in the war room, effectively mobilizing goons to assist pandemic legion. The campaign is characterized by a move away from doomsday tanks, heavy use of stealth bombers' bombing capabilities, and IT Alliance recruiting everything under the sun in order to form a mega-alliance (yet maintaining steady complaints about blobbing on CAOD).
  • 16th - Noted epsilon poster, long-time spy suspect, and greasy Italian, Cippalippus Primus (aka Sir Dante on SA) leaves Pandemic Legion and joins IT Alliance corp The Executives (of EXE fame). A troll post is made on CAOD about him stealing forty dreadnoughts or something.

January

The Defense of Delve begins, as IT attacks from Fountain, and AAA assaults Querious. As of Jan. 19th, they have not taken a single system.
